Filipa Leal was born in Porto, Portugal in 1979. She is a poet, a writer of fiction and a journalist. She is the author of three collections of poetry: Perhaps the Lilies Understand, The Liquid City and Other Textures, and The Problem of Being North. Filipa will be reading her own work which she has translated from Portuguese into English
Lawrence Pettener is a Bristol-based poet. His work has been translated into various European languages, and he has given readings in Berlin, ljubljana and Amsterdam.Free Event: 3.30pm, Saturday 06 SeptemberSpike Island Canteen
